Emmy Awards : Les Nominations De Cette Année

Les doutes planent encore quant au format pour la cérémonie : si la scène sera physique ou virtuelle, mais les Emmys Awards auront bien lieu. Et maintenant nous savons qui va concourir pour les premiers prix de la télévision.

Aujourd’hui, les acteurs (Leslie Jones, Laverne Cox, Josh Gad et Tatiana Maslany) ont annoncé les nommés pour la 72ᵉ édition des Emmy Awards, décernés par l’Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Pour la première fois, Netflix a obtenu le plus grand nombre de nominations (160), battant le record (137) de HBO en 2019. Il est clair que les règles de la télévision évoluent. Netflix surpasse ses concurrents en matière de contenu. En effet, la plateforme a perdu 17 milliards de dollars sur les originaux l’année dernière – et en récolte les bénéfices.

Ozark a ouvert la voie pour les services de streaming avec 18 nominations, tandis que Watchmen de HBO a obtenu le plus grand nombre de nominations pour une série avec 26. HBO a reçu 107 nominations, soit le deuxième plus grand nombre.

De nouveaux services de streaming ont également fait leur apparition : Apple TV+ et Disney+ ont tous deux obtenu 18 nominations et même Quibi en a obtenu 10.

La cérémonie sera diffusée dans moins de deux mois, le dimanche 20 septembre, ce qui en fera la première grande émission de l’ère du Covid-19 consacrée a une remise des prix du show business. Après avoir atteint un record de 6,9 millions de téléspectateurs l’année dernière, un public désormais confiné à la maison pourrait faire grimper l’audience, d’autant plus que notre appétit pour les grands moments de la télé ne fait que croître.
